Bleeding Control / Shock Management

1. Takes or verbalizes appropriate PPE precautions - Critical A 1 point

2. Applies direct pressure to the wound - Critical C 1 point

NOTE: Wound continues to bleed.

3. Applies tourniquet - Critical C1 point

NOTE: Patient is exhibiting signs and symptoms of hypoperfusion.

4. Properly positions the patient 1 point

5. Administers high concentration oxygen - Critical B 1 point

6. Initiates steps to prevent heat loss from the patient 1 point

7. Indicates the need for immediate transportation - Critical D 1 point
